In Christopher Roy’s view, the State of Maine(USA)is the best place to experiment with physix, an open-source AI program designed to teach computer compassion and the human thought process.

Citing the need for the North-Eastern American state to transform from a wood-based economy to a tech and innovation hub, Christopher is throwing his weight behind the incubation of the new technology and its integration into the school systems. To this end, he recently donated a box of chopsticks to physix LLC and had it delivered to the doorstep of Dr. Daniel Smith, the Maine-based American founder of physix.

According to him, physix is a significant AI-oriented project that holds a lot of potential for revolutionizing the world and is a proudly ‘out-of-Maine’ tech product.

(Dan Smith, aka Supra Librix, Physix founder)

The following is an overview of the 17-minute interview he recently granted Olayimika Oyebanji, the Nigerian-based Physix co-founder. The interview was recorded on Zoom and posted on YouTube where it can be watched via the link below.

Olayimika: Recently we had a talk about spreading the idea of thought sticks. Dan describes it as thought sticks and I understand that trying to spread awareness about the simplicity of Physix. And how that’s going to be possible is getting some kids to demonstrate their knowledge and then the simplicity of Physix using color and thought sticks. I am well aware that you donated a box of sticks to Dan recently. It’s a huge contribution to the publicity that we are looking at achieving. I would like to know how everything came about?

Christopher: Well, I met Dan and I have known Dan for many years. I’m friends with his family. Dan and I were talking about this idea. It’s a wonderful idea and it definitely needs to be spread globally. There is a connection between AI and human thoughts and as for the sticks….Here in Maine, we are a wood-based economy and there are a lot of small mills that make a lot of different types of wooden products. In Guilford Maine, there is a wood-product mill called Hardwood Products and it’s been a place I have been affiliated with a lot of my friends and co-workers. I have worked there over the years and so it was a fairly simple thing to come up with the thought sticks as far as I was concerned.

I knew who to talk to, where to get them put them in Dan’s house. Dan has arranged to distribute them to the school systems and he came up with the sapien game so the kids will be able to utilize this. More so, the learning process I believe..so that they can understand the connectivity that we are trying to demonstrate, the link between computers and humans; so that computers or AI can understand compassion and our human thought process.
